Job Contracts and Procurement Solicitor, Cardiff

Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a respected Local Authority, based in Cardiff, which is seeking an experienced Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy legal team providing high-quality advice on a broad range of commercial, procurement and local government matters.

Role: Contracts & Procurement Solicitor – Local Authority
Location: Cardiff – REMOTE WORKING
Contract Length: Initial 3-month contract
Umbrella Rate: £60-£65ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £52.79-£57.14ph

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle your own contracts and procurement law caseload from start to completion (particularly procurement act and public contract regulations).
• Draft contracts (standard forms and amending the same).
• Use DocuSign (or equivalent software) for the completion of contracts.
• Occasionally handle construction and waste matters as well as procuring from/ using framework agreements.

Key Requirements:

• 3+ years of PQE in Commercial Contracts and Procurement Law and hold a current Solicitor’s practising certificate.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience of Procurement Act and Public Contracts Regulations. Have strong drafting experience.
• Ideally will have worked for a local authority previously as a Commercial Contracts and Procurement Solicitor.

Desirable Experience:

• Construction and/or waste sector matters
• Procuring from and working with framework agreements.
